A scathing report into a race-fixing scam is set to be sidelined as the Irish Greyhound Board looks to instead publish a sanitised version.

The original report criticised the semi-state company’s integrity and regulation system, which costs €2m to implement.

It questioned how the IGB’s initial regulation inquiries had failed to spot the underlying scam at Dundalk. Rather than exposing the scam, the original inquiry dismissed suggestions that its system had been compromised.
