September date for Kerry water meter installations

The first water meter installations in Kerry will take place on Monday, Sep 9, Irish Water have announced.

Meters will be installed outside domestic residences on the public water mains in Tralee throughout September. In the coming months, meters are also being installed in Kildare, Meath, Wexford, Dublin city, Limerick, Mayo and Fingal.

Irish Water said its metering programme will result in the creation of 1,600 jobs as part of the nationwide installation project which will see more than one million meters installed over the next three years.
