Night-owl TDs may feel the brunt of reform plans, with morning Dáil sittings set to begin even earlier to allow for further debate on laws coming through the House.

Dáil weeks will be 2.5 hours longer due to earlier starts

Government sources have confirmed that the Dáil will commence earlier three days a week under plans being finalised between various political parties.

The new sitting times will take effect from September, after the summer recess.
