Accident warning over road hedges

A warning has been given of a serious traffic accident in a top tourist area because of overgrown roadside hedges.

Independent councillor Michael Cahill yesterday called on Kerry County Council management to immediately review a policy not to cut hedges on minor roads.

“The council’s policy has failed miserably, with many roads throughout the county virtually closed in,’’ he said.
