TDs urge stricter regulation of e-cigarettes due to lack of information

Electronic cigarettes could soon be subjected to regulation after Fine Gael TDs raised concerns about a lack of information surrounding their health effects.

Health Minister James Reilly has given assurances to his party he will review the products which simulate the act of tobacco smoking.

Government chief whip Paul Kehoe said the “glamorous advertising of electronic cigarettes has, over the last few months, become a cause of concern”.
