Kathleen Lynch to be off work for a month

Junior Minister Kathleen Lynch will be reviewing her work commitments over the next few weeks to give her time to recover from a suspected recurrence of septicaemia.

The Cork North Central Labour TD, who has responsibility for mental health, equality, and disability, has been moved from intensive care to a general ward in Cork University Hospital (CUH) where she is recovering slowly after taking ill while visiting flood-damaged Letterkenny General Hospital in Co Donegal last Tuesday.

Ms Lynch was airlifted to CUH for intensive treatment and tests.
