Kenny lashed for Seanad stance

Rebel TD Lucinda Creighton has fired a shot across Enda Kenny’s bows over abolition of the Seanad.

In her first public clash with the Taoiseach since being thrown out of the Fine Gael parliamentary party for voting against X case legislation, the Dublin deputy has come out against getting rid of the Seanad.

Abolition is the centrepiece of Mr Kenny’s political reform agenda and will be put to voters in a referendum slated for Oct 4.
