Top brands sign up to support quality

More than 60 of the country’s top brands have signed up to Siptu’s “Supporting Quality” campaign, which urges people to buy and use products and services which are produced in quality Irish working environments.

Top brands sign up to support quality

Supporting Quality was conceived by the union as a way to not only encourage and reward organisations to provide good working conditions for their workers, but also to promote their products to a wider audience, thereby safeguarding the workers’ jobs and contributing billion in income tax, corporation tax, and Vat to the Exchequer. In return, the companies receive promotion through the Supporting Quality website and union publications.

The campaign celebrated its first anniversary yesterday at the Heineken brewery in Cork, one of the 60 companies which have so far signed up. Others include Tayto, Electric Ireland, Avonmore, and Kilmeaden.
