Creighton entitled to €46k pay-off on top of her €87k salary as a TD

Former minister Lucinda Creighton is entitled to a €46,000 severance pay package on top of her TD salary after resigning over the Government’s abortion legislation.

The 33-year-old has yet to declare if she intends to accept the payment, which she is due to receive in increments over two years.

Reforms to overhaul severance payments for office holders, including ministers, were scheduled to be introduced by now.
