Gardaí hope they have cut a cannabis supply line to Cork after they arrested two men following a surveillance operation on the outskirts of the city yesterday which resulted in the seizure of €150,000 of the drug.

Members of the Cork Regional Drugs Unit struck as a drugs handover was taking place at a secluded spot near Fivemilebridge, between Cork and Kinsale.

Sources say gardaí were alerted to a potential handover by the Dublin-based National Drugs Unit.
