Kimye’s baby keeps up with tradition

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Kanye West have stuck with ‘tradition’ in their name choice for their newborn girl.

Kimye’s baby keeps up with tradition

Reports from Hollywood say the pair have chosen the names Kai Georgia Donda West — the same first name as Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s first son.

Donda is the name of Kanye’s late mother who died in 2007 after plastic surgery.

The couple had initially kept the baby’s gender a secret, but the sex was then revealed during one of her doctor appointments on the family’s reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Kim, 32, was due to give birth on Jul 11 but she delivered her baby earlier due to “medical complications”.

She gave birth at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, with Kanye reported to be at her side throughout.

There may be a potential conflict between the ‘tell-all/reveal-all’ Kardashians and Kanye West, 36, who is eager to protect his child’s privacy.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, West said he did not like talking about his family: “Like, this is my baby. This isn’t America’s baby.”

It’s little surprise Kim and Kanye picked a name starting with a K, a trait common among the Kardashian women: Mom Kris and sisters Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie.
