Poll shows majority want rid of Seanad

The bulk of voters want to see the back of the Seanad, a new poll shows.

The snapshot survey of public opinion shows that 52% approve of abolition with against 34%, while 14% are undecided.

The findings came as Taoiseach Enda Kenny launched another Dáil broadside against the Seanad.
