Tesco customers targeted in email phishing scam

Customers of supermarket giant Tesco are the latest to be targeted by criminals using an email scam which promises cash to those who take part in an online survey.

Members of the public in Ireland and Britain have been bombarded with emails in recent days, purporting to be from Tesco’s online department, but from a “fiat.com” email address.

The email guarantees customers €100 if they take part in a “customer satisfaction survey” and asks them to click on a link that leads to a phishing website.
