Tears and fears turned into a sparkling champagne celebration yesterday for Limerick bride, Stacy Higgins, and her groom, Jamie Hourigan, after their big day reception was saved in the High Court.

Until the eleventh hour, uncertainty hung over the wedding venue, Ballykisteen Hotel & Golf Resort at Limerick Junction, due to legal proceedings by Ulster Bank on Wednesday.

Stacy and Jamie were toasting Mr Justice Michael White who gave the go-ahead for the hotel to continue in business, appointing a provisional liquidator nominated by the bank.
