Rents across country continue to rise

The average rent across the country has risen for the third quarter in a row, the first time this has happened since 2007.

The average for the first quarter of 2013 is up 2.7% from the corresponding period last year, standing at €815 compared to €794.

The Daft.ie report found that Dublin was driving the rise. Rents in the capital rose 5% in the first quarter compared to 0.2% elsewhere.
