Drunk Russian chased woman in city traffic

A distraught cancer patient is recovering after being subjected to a terrifying 30-minute late-night car chase by a “drunk” Russian man who escaped punishment by claiming diplomatic immunity.

The 53-year-old mother was targeted in the bizarre incident last week, and was only saved from an unknown fate after gardaí intervened when the suspect attempted to speed away.

Speaking on RTÉ programme Liveline, the lung and spine cancer patient, whose name has not been revealed, said the “terrifying” incident had the same effect on her as being told she was suffering from the life-threatening conditions.
