TUI threatens to withdraw from ‘goodwill’ activities
The union, which represents more than 14,000 teachers and lecturers, has already overwhelmingly rejected the proposed public agreement.
As a result of the ballot, the TUI will vote against the Labour Relations Commission proposals on the public service agreement at a meeting of the of the public services committee of Ictu in April. Speaking on the first day of the TUI annual conference in Galway, general secretary John MacGabhann urged Ictu to “respect and support” this position.
