Lynch claims misdiagnosis nearly killed her

Junior health minister Kathleen Lynch has revealed how a misdiagnosis threatened her life.

The Cork TD was in Paris last August when she became ill and given the wrong antibiotics at a French hospital.

Ms Lynch felt so ill she returned early to Ireland and was met at Dublin Airport by ambulance and taken straight to hospital, where she was informed the condition, cellulitis, could have been life-threatening.
