‘I will give my freedom to help Marie die’

The partner of MS sufferer Marie Fleming has spoken of his deep love for the former UCD lecturer who failed in her bid to have assisted suicide legalised in Ireland.

Tom Curran, who has spoken openly of his willingness to break the law by helping her die peacefully at home, revealed he will be devastated when Marie does pass away.

A special edition of the RTÉ series Moment of Truth, which aired last night, gives a glimpse into the love story behind the Wicklow-based couple at the centre of the landmark court case.
