Farming primed for era of change

The direction of farming will change in the coming years, says Michael Brady

IT IS often said about land “they aren’t making any more of it and you don’t have to paint it to maintain it”.

It is true the amount of utilisable land in Ireland (11.29m acres) will not significantly change, but how it is farmed has changed over the years and will change significantly in the future.
