Gardaí to press case for murder against boy

Gardaí will next week press for charges to be brought against a 16-year-old boy in connection with the murder of German student Thomas Heinrich last weekend.

A detailed Garda file is set to be completed within days and sent to the DPP recommending that serious charges be brought against the juvenile.

Gardaí expect the DPP will direct charges based on CCTV footage and other evidence gathered in the case.
