Civil servants shaken and stirred by fake Bond job ad

A fake advert for a would-be James Bond with a licence to kill on behalf of the British government was posted on an official government site.

The €82,000-a-year post calling for “particularly skilled professionals” was posted on firectgov.co.uk on behalf of the MI6. It said that the British government had, from time to time, “a need to remove people whose continued existence poses a risk to the effective conduct of public order”.

But the Department of Work and Pensions said it had removed the advert, which had a job reference code of “007”.
