Controversial reports may be delayed until after budget

A number of long-awaited reports on a range of controversial issues, including abortion, may not be published before the budget.

A spokesman for the Government said he could not give a commitment on the timeline for the presentation of reports to the cabinet, or whether they would be published before the budget.

A decision on the location of the national Children’s Hospital will be made “in the coming weeks” the spokesman said.
