Famous fair town to get dedicated field area for casual trading

A decades-long campaign for a specific casual trading area in a Kerry town known for its famous fair ended yesterday.

Kerry County Council has unanimously agreed to designate a section of the fair field in Killorglin, for the purpose.

It was also decided to extinguish old market rights, which had been granted hundreds of years ago by royal charter in the Puck Fair town.
