Mum’s fears for boy who eats small items

A mother of a little boy who is addicted to eating small objects, including batteries, ear-rings and coins, says she is terrified he will choke to death.

Fiona, from Letterkenny in Co Donegal, who asked that her full name not be used, says her four-year-old son has had 10 choking episodes.

She says she wants to highlight the problem.
