Gilmore backs Reilly amid Shortall fallout

Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has again defended Health Minister James Reilly’s decision to add two sites in his constituency to a list of locations for primary care centres.

Just 24 hours after Mr Gilmore’s Labour colleague Roisín Shortall resigned in protest over the issue, he said the list was expanded to ensure the Government had options and “vested interests” could not block centres coming on stream.
