Mayor’s six-figure salary exempt in €1.2m cuts plan

The Lord Mayor of Cork’s six-figure salary will not be cut as part of a €1.2m mini-budget to be presented to councillors next week.

However, there will be sweeping cuts in other areas which will hit housing, roads, parks, and libraries, including:

* A €200,000 reduction in the spend on road maintenance;
