‘Viable’ bomb linked to feud

Gardaí are fearful of an escalation in a Traveller feud after a pipebomb was discovered in Limerick at the weekend.

‘Viable’ bomb linked to  feud

The device was found at about 10am on Saturday, wrapped in plastic. It had been placed in a gully near a house in Rathkeale, Co Limerick.

Gardaí recovered the device after receiving a tip off. They said the “viable” bomb would have caused serious injury or death if it had been detonated.
