Fiancée’s hotel Facebook fury backfires

Sometimes you are better off asking your hubby-to-be what went on at his stag do, before venting your fury at his treatment by a hotel all over Facebook.

Fiancée’s hotel Facebook fury backfires

In fact, this wife-to-be hit the hotel’s Facebook page threatening “ta go on evry radio station” to expose the “sceeming” hotel claiming they ripped off her partner’s stag party.

Indeed, she even thought it might be time to take her complaint to the Small Claims Court in a bid to retrieve the €700 she felt her partner was owed.

Her partner’s stag party, consisting of 17 men, were promised a €50 deposit per man back and it wasn’t given. The lady said the hotel was trying “to earn some easy cash”.

Treacy’s Hotel in Waterford hit back and was forced to give its version of events on Facebook. Firstly, goes the post, “your partner’s stag party brought a lady back to their hotel room”. Next up, the lady in question decided to set off the smoke alarm at 1.06am. This led to complaints from other guests before at 5am, further complaints forced the night porter to visit the room where he smelled “smoke and illegal substances”. Following this, a garda was called to remove the woman “screaming and shouting” at 6.30am.

The gardaí were called again after a member of the party “jumped the reception counter to physically hurt a member of staff”.

Treacy’s Hotel later removed the post but thanked everybody for its support over the story. It said it needed “to state the facts of that night rather than see our name sullied”.

As for the poor bride-to- be, the only support she got online were offers to buy her a good dictionary.
