HSE dismissed initial reports of 200 dead children

When the suggestion was first made that 200 children in HSE care had died in 10 years the figure was rubbished.

The Sunday Business Post printed the article in 2010. In response, the HSE issued a statement dismissing it.

“The accurate figure for the number of deaths of young people who were known to the health services cannot be confirmed until this thorough process is completed,” it said.
