Group sets sights on 400 building projects

The Construction Industry Federation has published a list of more than 400 road, rail, and building projects it says could be advanced if EU leaders agreed an economic stimulus package.

Last month, it was reported the Government was preparing to draw up a list of “shovel-ready” projects so that Ireland would be in a position to take advantage of any large-scale EU investment plan.

The CIF has now come forward with its own list of projects which it believes could create thousands of jobs across the country if they got the green light.
