Five arrests in crackdown on drug debt threats

Gardaí have arrested five men in a crackdown over threats to people who owe drugs debts on the southside of Cork City.

Gardaí have also issued a warning to other gangs that they will “act robustly” to stop such intimidation.

The men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were being detained yesterday at the Bridewell and Togher Garda Stations under Section 50 of the Offences Against the State Act.
