Terminally-ill woman dies at airport on way back from treatment

A terminally-ill woman who was returning to Ireland after undergoing treatment in the US died shortly after her flight landed at Shannon Airport yesterday.

Orla Dee, 48, from Caherslee, Tralee, was only recently discharged from a hospital in New York where she had been under going treatment for cancer.

The woman was travelling from New York to Shannon on board Aer Lingus flight EI-110 which touched down at 6.35am.
