Tubridy can succeed in Britain, says Wogan

Broadcasting legend Terry Wogan says Ryan Tubridy should “relax and be himself” when he takes over his former radio show, which has an audience of 8.8m, including the Queen.

Tubridy can succeed in Britain, says Wogan

Wogan, who was guest of honour at the Mayor of Limerick’s annual ball last night, described Tubridy as an established and veteran broadcaster in Ireland who should simply “be himself” when he temporarily takes over the BBC 2 breakfast show when current presenter Chris Evans goes on holidays.

“He shouldn’t try to be anything but himself. If he doesn’t feel things are going particularly well on a given day, he shouldn’t let the pressure get to him because it will be fine the following day,” Wogan said.
