Gilmore attacks no campaign’s ‘lunatic economics’

Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has accused the anti-treaty side of peddling “lunatic economics” as the referendum campaign intensified.

Both sides accused each other of misleading voters, with Mr Gilmore attacking People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett for saying Ireland could survive the collapse of the euro.

Finance Minister Michael Noonan defended his claim a no vote would worsen the December budget.
