The Irish Congress of Trade Unions is likely to leave it up to individual unions to make their own recommendations on the EU fiscal treaty.

ICTU to leave fiscal treaty up to each union

The ICTU executive meets today to discuss whether a pan-union position can be taken on the treaty ahead of the May 31 referendum.

It is expected the Unite trade union will call for a vote to be taken by the 35 members of the executive who are drawn from the leaderships of the affiliate unions.
