Lucky 13? Lotto jackpot to hit €11m

Lotto fever will spread countrywide today, as players hope to scoop the weekend jackpot, expected to top €11m.

The jackpot, the 11th largest in the history of the Lotto, has rolled over for 12 consecutive draws without a winner of the top prize.

While thousands will be watching the draw on TV tonight, celebrations may already be under way for a Co Clare resident who became a millionaire on the Prize Bonds yesterday.
