Party looking to break from its past

Three things will be worth watching at this weekend’s Fianna Fáil ard fheis, the first such party conference since 2009.

The first is party leader Micheál Martin’s opening address to the conference on Friday night — and the degree to which he gives one of his predecessors, Bertie Ahern, a kick.

The publication of the Mahon report, containing the tribunal’s findings on Mr Ahern’s personal finances, is imminent.
