Kerry bin trucks sale‘not value for money’

Kerry County Council did not get value for money in the sale of its bin collection trucks following a decision to privatise its waste collection service.

The claim was made by Cllr Paul O’Donoghue (FF) after the council disclosed it sold six trucks, by open tender, for a total of €123,000.

“That sale was not value for money and was not value for money for the taxpayer,” he said.
