UCC honours top graduate

UCC’s top graduate is Sam Fitzpatrick, a computer science honours degree student from Union Hall in West Cork.

The award was announced at the 2011 prizegiving ceremony at UCC yesterday at which 40 undergraduate and postgraduate prizes were presented to 45 prizewinners by UCC president Michael Murphy.

Mr Fitzpatrick graduated with a first-class honours degree in computer science (BSc) in 2011. During his undergraduate years, he was actively involved in a number of societies, holding 10 different committee positions with nine different societies.
