Undertaker charged with exhuming body without licence

AN undertaker and car salesman appeared in court on a summons alleging he exhumed the body of an elderly man from a graveyard near Patrickswell without the necessary licence from Limerick County Council.

Donal Daffy, aged 59, of Skagh, Croom, Co Limerick, is accused of committing the offence at the cemetery at Clounanna on February 26 last year.

The case follows a Garda investigation into the alleged unauthorised exhumation of the body of Joseph (Josie) Graham, aged 95.
