An undertaker escaped a criminal conviction yesterday after pleading guilty to illegally exhuming the body of a 95-year-old man from a cemetery.

AN undertaker and car salesman appeared in court on a summons alleging he exhumed the body of an elderly man from a graveyard near Patrickswell without the necessary licence from Limerick County Council.
