Testimony reform urged for sex trials

CALLS have been made to allow victims of sexual crime to give evidence in court by video link or from behind screens.

The Government has also been told that bail should not be given to people charged with serious sexual crimes.

The recommendations have been made in submissions to the Department of Justice as part of its national policy blueprint on crime.
