Enthusiasts ink in new year at tattoo show

CELTIC crosses, Chinese symbols, skull and crossbones, butterflies and flowers.

Ink enthusiasts from all around the world displayed their body art at the Midleton Tattoo Show over the past two days where hundreds gathered to enjoy the festival.

For the second year running, the Ho Ho Ho Tattoo show saw some of the most renowned tattoo artists in the world, from Poland, Portugal and South Africa, as well as Ireland, show samples of their work.

The Christmas show — which ran on Wednesday and Thursday — was conceived after the runaway success of the Midleton Tattoo Show, which attracts thousands every summer.

The summer show has become bigger every year since it started 11 years ago, and organisers decided on a Christmas show to cater for demand.
