Clairvoyant helps man recover €4k

A BUSINESSMAN who lost a jacket with €4,000 in the pocket was so desperate he called a clairvoyant to see if they could visualise where he may have left it. And, incredibly, it worked.

Clairvoyant helps man recover €4k

Shane Kelly, manager of Sunhill nursing home in Termonfeckin, Co Louth, was so busy attending meetings he had no time to lodge the cash and stuffed it into his pocket.

“I arrived at the Castleknock Hotel for a meeting, sat down threw my jacket across the back of the chair and thought no more about it. The next day I remembered I had to lodge the cash, but realised I had lost the jacket.

“I couldn’t for the life of me remember where I had left it. I was that frantic I couldn’t even think clearly, I just could not recall the name of the hotel or anything.

“Then I remembered I had recently read an article on a clairvoyant down in Knock... In desperation, I rang and almost immediately they described the bar of the Castleknock Hotel to a tee. I was gobsmacked but I knew they had to be right because their description was so accurate — they even suggested the hotel was in Dublin, and that jogged my thinking.”

At first, though, things didn’t look too promising.

“Initially when I rang the hotel, nobody knew anything about it but later that evening I rang back and the receptionist had the brainwave of checking the CCTV footage. She saw a security guard pick the jacket up off the chair and bring it to reception.

“They had it in a box and I asked her if, by any chance, there was four grand in the pocket.

“I couldn’t believe it when she said there was.

“The security guard has been rewarded and, to say he has restored my faith in human kindness, would be an understatement.”

Mr Kelly said he once lost a wallet on a trip to Vienna, which he subsequently recovered, but he added: “I don’t intend for it to happen a third time.”
