Man faces assault charge

A ROMANIAN had an assault case listed at Cork Circuit Criminal Court yesterday.

Ciprian Grozavu, aged 37, of apartment 1, Bridge House, Bandon, Co Cork, had two charges on the indictment against him.

Firstly, he faces a charge of assault causing harm to Daniel Doherty at Parnell Street , Bandon, on November 3, 2010. Secondly, he faces a charge of theft at the same date and place.

On the application of prosecution barrister, Siobhán Lankford, the case was adjourned by Judge Patrick J Moran until Tuesday next for Grosavu to be present in court.

It is anticipated the assault case may be adjourned at that stage to the February sessions of Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
