Search is on for bungling thieves in North Cork

GARDAÍ are searching for two bungling thieves whose van — laden with a large amount of stolen property — got bogged down in a field.

The thieves, one of whom was said to have long grey hair, had broken into a container in a farmyard in North Cork which contained a number of valuable items.

According to Supt Pat McCarthy, who is leading the investigation, the men then filled up their van with a ride-on lawnmower, tumble drier and power tools.
