Dana bids to resolve the US question

DANA has offered to renounce her controversial US citizenship in order to boost her bid for the presidency.

Ms Scallon insisted there was nothing wrong in her not declaring publicly the fact she became an American in October 1999 when she announced her candidacy for the Áras.

The fact only emerged after it was unearthed in court papers regarding a bitter family tussle in the US over some of the singer’s recording royalties.
