‘Border Fox’ is run over by 4x4

GARDAÍ were last night waiting to quiz former INLA terror boss Dessie O’Hare from his hospital bed after he was injured in a hit-and-run incident.

The Border Fox, 55, who kidnapped dentist John O’Grady and chopped off two of his fingers in 1987, was recovering at Dublin’s Mater Hospital last night with serious face and neck injuries after a black 4x4 mounted the path on which he was walking on Tuesday.

Gardaí investigating the incident, which occurred at the junction of Seafield Road and Seafield Avenue, Clontarf, Co Dublin, believe it may have been carried out deliberately.
