GARDAÍ are carrying out an investigation after a road traffic collision in Co Meath yesterday, left one man dead.

The man, in his late thirties, died when his car crashed on the Trim Road, close to the village of Ballivor at about 4pm.

There were no other vehicles involved in the incident.

The dead man has been removed to Navan General Hospital where a postmortem will be carried out.

The road at the scene of the crash remains closed pending an examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
